A few months ago, I sat across from a leader who was bright, experienced, and totally on top of her subject matter but exhausted. Her words stuck with me.


“I’m doing everything I’ve been taught, and it still feels like I’m failing.”


She wasn’t being dramatic. She was just tired of holding it all together. Her team wasn’t thriving. The culture felt flat. She was trying to lead from a place of pressure, not presence.

The truth is, she wasn’t doing anything wrong.


She was using an old map in a completely new terrain.

The world had changed. The leadership playbook hadn’t.

And that’s the problem. 


Because if we want to future-proof leadership, it’s not just for our careers. It’s for the systems and cultures we’re part of. Something has to change.
